Olsen Creek State Forest provides 8 miles of trails for non-motorized multi-use recreation, including 5.5 miles of hiking, equestrian, and uphill mountain bike trails and over 2 miles of dedicated downhill mountain bike trails. The trailhead is owned by Whatcom County and jointly maintained by Backcountry Horsemen, Whatcom County Parks & Recreation, and DNR.
Getting there
From I-5, take exit 254, right onto Iowa St., slight left onto Yew St., right onto Alabama St, and left onto Northshore Dr. for 4.6 miles and then left onto Y Rd. The Whatcom County trailhead is 1.2 miles up Y Rd from jct with Northshore Dr on the right.
